 Very happy with season,

Some lower grade games would have been good so I could work on aspects of my game

Would 've liked the occasional higher grade game but overall happy

Since I have not been assessed /inspected, I do feel that appointments are made with very limited knowledge of referees ability and form…

(Appointment structure under review)

    BELIEVE YOU SHOULD HAVE?

(Posted Twice yearly for past 3 seasons. Always on Website)

11: SHOULD REFEREES BE RANKED IN THE GRADING LISTS?

68% of referees who answered this question agreed that there should be rankings on the grading lists

Comments:

Should have top 5 prem then top 3 each grade gives something to aim for

Gives referees something to aim for

This would be unhelpful to refs if it got into the public domain

Definitely on a fortnight or monthly basis higher up. Under performing refs at the top should go

(Current format Members decision)

Comments:

More Sessions at Lindisfarne,

Lindisfarne is a waste of time,

Big improvement from last year

Rucks, mauls should be early in year

Unable to attend due to work,

Picked up at least one valuable thing at each session,

A long way to travel from Dannevirke.

Some of the topics did not really add to my law knowledge

Not sure why we go to Lindisfarne

Need to get a senior 1 coach in and ask how we can improve our game

Law parts of evening were good

Combine with new referees for more training sessions

Didn't know about them

(Interesting considering the cancellation of the end of year function)

23: DID YOU ENJOY THE SOCIAL OCCASIONS THAT WERE ORGANISED?

80% of those who attend the social functions enjoyed them

Comments:

Poor organisation/attendance … Might just as well have met at the local rugby club. This was not a successful evening

Dont attend

4: IS THERE ANYTHING THAT YOUR EXECUTIVE CAN DO BETTER NEXT YEAR?

COMMENT:

Improved communication

The Webpage is a joke as it is so out of date and is rarely updated

Don't rely on emails as many of the referees do not have ready daily access through their work…

The exec need to involve its members more. Post minute on the board

With a reduced exec it appears that a the exec and a small "in crowd" are the only ones kept in the loop …

To many too list

As volunteers they do a great job

Don't push the young to far too fast. Let them come up through the ranks. They Have plenty of time

They have done a superb job

Could use the internet/email to communicate more

Payments for travelling needs looking at

Keep on getting better

Email communication to refs was not as good this year as in previous years (changes reminders etc)

Don't punish people who don't go to Monday night in their appointments

Build a better base behind top 3

Found morning games helpful for preparing for afternoon games…
